About This Location
Rocklin is the newest addition to the family, our fifth room, opened in Rocklin West. It's smaller and quieter than some of our other locations, and that's part of the appeal. Fewer seats, more conversation, and a staff that still knows most of the regulars by name after only a few months open.
Every bowl of premium kava here gets a squeeze of fresh pineapple, a small detail that's become one of the things regulars ask for by name. It's noble root, prepared the same careful way as every other Root of Happiness bar, just poured in a room that's still finding its rhythm.
Being new means the crowd here is still forming, which has its own charm: come on a quiet night and you'll likely end up talking to whoever's behind the bar as much as anyone else in the room. That's not a bug. It's how every one of our locations started.

Hand Crafted Kava
Fresh frozen kava from Hawaii, Fiji, and our own American farms, poured daily alongside our traditional powdered house kavas. Noble root only, ground fresh and prepared by hand. Fresh is best, and here you can have it every day.

Ancient tonic herbs, iced pours, and botanical blends built for health conscious people who want somewhere to go that isn't a bar. Alcohol-free, made to order, and good enough that nobody at the table feels like they're settling.

Your First Visit
Start with one 12 oz High Tide shell of traditional fresh kava. It's the authentic preparation and the best way to understand what kava actually is. Give it 20 to 30 minutes before deciding on another.
If earthy and bitter isn't your thing, ask about our kava tonics and iced pours, like the Cloudbreaker. And if you'd rather skip kava entirely, we pour specialty espresso and a full botanical menu.
In a shell, which is the traditional coconut-shell-shaped bowl kava has been served in across the Pacific for thousands of years. You drink it in one go rather than sipping it, then take a chaser if you want one.
